We know that your mental needs don’t stop when office hours are over. Using our help line and our email service for counseling services you can get a message to your mental health team when it is convenient for you.

Initial consultation


The initial consultation is the first step in meeting with your counselor. To schedule your initial consultation drop in or give us a call at 9837010012 . Prior to your appointment you will be emailed intake paperwork. It is important that you read and complete this. You may request a specific counselor (see Our Staff for information about our counselors), or you may be placed with the counselor who has the earliest opening available. During this thirty minute consultation your counselor will review with you the limits of confidentiality, share with you what services are offered through our office, learn from you why you are seeking counseling and together you will come up with a plan. Our services can not realistically meet the psychological needs of every individual and so in such situations we will discuss with you options for referrals both on and off campus.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING


Team Mind-Infinity offers individual counselling with an aim of helping individuals improve their daily functioning and reaching their potential goals. Counseling is a collaborative process, involving a non-judgmental, supportive counselors who will work with you to set goals and establish strategies to meet goals. All of our counselors are considered “generalist counselors” and so we are able to address a large range of concerns. We do receive training on a variety of topics including-Addiction issues Adjustment issues; including adjusting to college life Anxiety and depression Eating disorders Gender identity and sexual orientation Grief Relationship difficulties Sexual assault Stress management Racial discrimination and/or trauma.

Sometimes it is hard to get along. We are here to help you navigate the difficulties you might be having with your partner or maybe even your roommate. In couples counseling, we can help you by providing the tools to better communicate, and to resolve conflicts as we strive to create an environment where you feel safe to express yourselves to one another.

Group Counseling


Group therapy can be highly effective than individual counseling,and have immense benefits . Depending on the particular issues, with group therapy you can get the support you are needing and work collectively towards the healing of your problem . We understand that the thought of sharing your thoughts and feelings with a group can be intimidating. It may be important for you to know that you control what, how much and when you share with the group. Your counselor will never force you to reveal something you do not want to. We find that students do start to feel safe and really enjoy group after the first few sessions. Currently we have population and topic specific groups in addition to general process groups. Groups meet each week during the Spring and Fall semesters. If you are currently meeting with one of our therapists speak to them about your interest in group therapy.
